Old Dairy Studio is excited to host artist Richard White for Landscapes in Acrylics from 4 - 5 June 2025.
On this two day course, Richard will take you through preparatory drawings, how to build an effective composition through to effectively applying paint to build a landscape in acrylics. Day 1 will include mark making, preparatory sketches and paintings ready for creating your own acrylic masterpiece on day 2.
Richard I has a Dip. AD in Visual Communication and a BA in Fine Arts and Painting also from Liverpool School of Art. He has been a photographer, designer, publisher, artist and author for more than 50 years, expressing his creativity through photography, with digital imagery, sketches, print and paint on canvas, embracing both traditional and modern methods.
Richard describes his way of working as 'an attempt to extract, represent or enhance a personal view of life laced with emotions and drama; in other words, a story'. He has taught History of art, specialising in Renaissance, Dutch 18th century art and Impressionism.
This course is a great place for beginners to start their journey into acrylics or for those with more experience to hone their skills painting a landscape they love.
